Under the Users tab, you can create new users and assign them specific views, by selecting which brands, accounts, or computers you want the user to be allowed to view and have access to.
To start, you should go to the Reports & Alerts page and set up your email SMTP settings.
Once that is filled out, return to the Users page and click the "+Add User" button to open a dialogue window, where you fill out the email address for the account, and then assign them the Brand or Accounts you want that web console user to see when they log in.
You are able to grant certain elevated privileges to your by selecting the toggles nested under Options in the top section of the dialogue window.
- Share SMTP Settings- When selected your user will receive reports and alerts under your SMTP settings.
- Remote Management- When selected your user will have access to Remote Management Controls for assigned accounts.
- Show Brands- When selected your user will be able to view the Brands page to download the installers for their assigned brands.
- Show Account Passwords- When selected your user will be able to view account passwords for their assigned accounts. The account passwords can be found in the BackupOps Webconsole under the 'Storage' tab > find a computer on the account you need in the table and click the 'Info' button which will bring up a detail screen. On the top right of the detail screen will be a 'Recover Password' button that will show you the password for that account.
- Edit Computer Status- When Selected your user will be able to edit the computer status for assigned computers. This can be done in the BackupOps Webconsole under the 'Storage' tab by finding the computer you want to change the status of and clicking on the it's current status in the status column. You can then select another status to change it to and save it. (NOTE: If you mark a computer 'Deleted' it will be hidden from the views.)
Once you have finished selecting these, save the settings to create the user.
Once the user is created, you should use the "Invite + password reset email" button to send an email to the user so they can log into the BackupOps web console.
You can also later use the "Edit Viewable Accounts" button to change the Brands, Accounts, or Options that the user has access to.
